Why do home tests have different results from a hospital test?
All OKRA diabetic test strips are made to measure the glucose levels of whole blood that contains red blood cells, while most hospitals use plasma to measure glucose levels without the presence of red blood cells. Test results from whole blood vs. plasma can have a 12-15% difference. It is important to choose a reliable glucose meter like OKRA’s, which is FDA approved and meets ISO 15197 standards, so that you can have complete confidence in your results.
Why are OKRA’s test results different from other brands?
It is not recommended to compare test results from multiple testing meters. Every glucose meter has a different setting and will vary for the same blood sample within 12-15%. This is normal and does not mean that your results are inaccurate. It is important to choose a glucose meter and diabetic test strips that you can trust to deliver accurate and consistent results.

I take a reading 3 times a day. Need lots of test strips. This is a great deal, I buy 300 at a time. Meter works well, quick & uses a little blood. I've compared to other meters, it is accurate. Best deal.
I absolutely love my glucose meter and I love the way they do for the supplies for it. The lancets and strips I use subscription and it comes on time every 2 months like I have it set for. In my picture at the top you will see my glucose monitor kit. And underneath it you see the package that my refill kit came in just a few days ago. I highly recommend Okra meters.

I am a retired nurse. I have used many different brands of meters. When I was diagnosed, my pharmacist gave me a brand that I was not happy with and I was not able to locate test solution. I researched many brands until your ad popped up on my FB feed. I am getting better readings than my previous meter.
The cost of the starter system is great. I like that I can order directly from you. Testing solution is a plus. It has only been two weeks but so far I have no complaints.
I often check my blood sugar at times beside the readings I take 3 times a day before meals; I want to know how my system is handling the food I'm taking in and want to know what's going on with me when I feel a little "off". My insurance, my drug plan, and the pharmacy have limits that don't include the number of test strips I need in order to do this. With OKRA I can order refills as often as necessary, pay the reasonable cost and eliminate the interference that often gets in the way of taking care of myself. That's why I'm happy with the OKRA system.
